Westside Motor Lounge and Echo Room Prepare for the 2026 World Cup

                               
Westside Motor Lounge and Echo Room gear up to welcome the world to Atlanta

With the FIFA World Cup starting in June, soccer fans worldwide will be traveling to Atlanta and ten other big US cities for the biggest event in futebol. The Cup occurs from June 11 to July 19. The competition will also be hosted in Mexico and Canada. This is the first time that Atlanta is hosting the games. As such, Westside Motor Lounge and the Echo Room have announced their summer programming. The Hollywood of the South will do everything it can to mesmerize its visitors and show them an unforgettable time. The city will facilitate 39 days of matches, the hectic energy of diehard soccer fans, and diverse opinions nationwide over which team should claim the golden trophy. The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is proud to be hosting eight of those games. While it’s a 36-minute walk over, Westside Motor Lounge is preparing to meet the moment that the tournaments begin. Every match will stream across 12 screens, while the outdoor courtyard invites fans to pass the time between matches playing shuffleboard, soaking up the sun, and easing into the kind of atmosphere that makes cheering from the West End an honorable moment.     

Dine in on authentic American cuisine at the Westside Motor Lounge

Opening in October 2022, Motor Lounge is a bar and restaurant that is the essence of Southern American cuisine. The establishment won a Jezebel Best of Atlanta award in 2024. It is proud to showcase its Southern roots, global influences, and casual, fan-ready classics. It features a menu highlighted by Shrimp Po’ boys, made of Louisianian-style fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and held together by a brioche bun with Creole Remoulade, served with fries ($16), Southern-fried catfish nuggets and a garnished lemon wedge ($14), and a double smash burger layered with melted American cheese, caramelized onions, and house secret sauce ($16).

During construction, one of the four shipping containers was transformed into a serving station with a draft system for the beer garden. Additionally, a stage was fashioned out of the three remaining containers, which was used to create a courtyard in front of the beer garden. Other than playing games, there are plenty of entertaining activities customers can do, like eating at the retro food truck.

As the day turns to night, the Echo Room- the jazz kissa listening bar nestled at the bottom of the hill on the Westside Motor Lounge campus will keep the soundtrack going throughout the tournament. The venue is guaranteed to provide visitors with a unique auditory experience unlike anywhere else in Atlanta.

Meticulously curated by four legendary Atlanta DJs, Kai Alce, Salah Ananse, Mike Zarin, and DJ Kemit, the room will present a constantly evolving lineup paired with its iconic all-vinyl weekly and monthly programming.

Designed for music enthusiasts in mind, the venue exudes an urban atmosphere, and the words “Echo Room” are inscribed in a blue neon sign hung in front of the DJ setup. The glowing blue light permeating throughout the room fuses with the sound emanating from the speakers, filling listeners with adrenaline and ecstasy. The vintage sound studio and premiere audio equipment will keep visitors in a trance that they will never want to end.

The sounds of House, Soul, Classic Rock, Jazz, Bossanova, Latin, Pop, Hip Hop, and more spill out of the 1750 square feet space each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 PM to 12 AM as guests bask in the warmth of audio Heaven while sipping on expertly crafted cocktails.

Its expansive beverage program includes frozen refreshments, draft cocktails, local beers, THC-infused drinks, and non-alcoholic options. The seasonal cocktail list will feature refreshing offerings like the Westside Cocktail, Frozen Pink Cadillac, Electric Echo, the amply titled Westside Cocktail, and more. Rest assured, there is a delicious beverage for every customer.  

In addition to special and guest DJs, programming highlights include:

-Kickin’ Up Dust: DJ Kemit’s 2nd Saturday monthly, and Atlanta’s longest-running, all-vinyl 45s party.

-Boom Bap: A classic hip hop experience, celebrating the True School Golden Era, from the 80s and 90s.

-When We Gather Tuesdays: A soul-enriching, spirit-nurturing, community-building, night because life is better when we gather.

-Residents Only Thursdays: Vinyl Only selections featuring Uptempo, Jazz, Dance, Disco, and Deep Soulful House. Compiled and mixed for the discerning listener and avid dancer.
