Who said the best fine-dining restaurants can only be found in the city? Outside the perimeter, there are tons of amazing places. Some of the best options in Metro Atlanta are in Alpharetta, Duluth, Johns Creek, and Suwanee- check out our top five.
- Delbar Middle Eastern
Meaning “beloved” or “darling” in Farsi, Delbar offers an unforgettable and extremely flavorful Middle Eastern dining experience designed for sharing. With their family-style approach, you can order multiple dishes, but if you’re unsure what to order- no worries, the helpful staff is happy to give personalized suggestions. And make sure to finish with their delicious Baklava. There are so many delectable plates to try, it’s no surprise that Delbar is featured in the Michelin Guide– an honor and a true testament to the quality of their food. Located in Alpharetta, Atlanta, and Buckhead, Delbar is undoubtedly a local gem.
- Pampas Steakhouse
For steak lovers, Pampas is an Argentinian-style steakhouse that offers mouthwatering cuts unlike any other- simply the variety and freshness of the meat make it a must-visit in the area, but what takes them over the top is their chef and sommelier. They specialize in authentic taste and traditional Argentinian cooking methods with an oak, woodfired grill, and coal. Start with their Empanadas or Argentinian Sausage, and don’t miss out on their signature “The Brick” Filet or Churrasco. But anything you order is guaranteed to be delicious- even if it’s chicken or fish. As for their wine, Pampas has an extensive, award-winning list- perfect for wine lovers. All in all, this is a great restaurant in Johns Creek.
- Frankie’s The Steakhouse
Conveniently located near the Gas South Arena, Frankie’s is an upscale, traditional American steakhouse with an Italian flair. Their cozy, inviting vibe with an old-school steakhouse feel. Their classic cuts like New York Strip and ribeye are perfect, but their Italian specialties set them apart. The Cioppino, for example, features their fish of the day, lobster tail, mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp, and scallops in a wine broth- making it a seafood medley. With its incredible menu, Frankie’s is a true local favorite.
- Noona Meat & Seafood
Another Duluth standout is Noona, a New American restaurant with Korean influences. Their Kimchi Fried Rice, Gochujang Braised Lamb Shank, and fresh oysters/ seafood are among the plates that stick out here. But the other cuts of steak and meats here are so fresh and of high quality making it hard to decide what to order. The marinades like gochujang- a fermented red chili paste- and the kimchi help make this a truly unique fine dining restaurant in the area. Noona has also won multiple Best in Gwinnett awards, solidifying its reputation within the community.
- Cuts Steakhouse
Cuts is a southern-style steakhouse in Suwanee and Atlanta that offers a higher-end steak selection. Their premium cuts range from wet-aged steaks and chops to dry-aged to USDA prime steaks making it a meat lovers paradise. They stray from the norm of steakhouses by offering such a large selection of steaks that you can’t find everywhere, especially in the suburbs. Options include bone-in ribeye, filet mignon, and Tomahawk steak. Of course, they offer other options, but at this steakhouse, the variety of cuts and how exceptional it is makes it different from anywhere else in the area.
