Seeking an authentic Persian dining experience in Atlanta? Look no further than Rumi’s Kitchen at Colony Square, where traditional flavors meet modern elegance in the heart of Midtown.
Inspired by the renowned poet Jelaluddin Rumi, Rumi’s Kitchen debuted in 2006. Its Midtown location, which opened in January 2022 at Colony Square, is the third Atlanta-area outpost from Chef Ali Mesghali, joining the established Sandy Springs and Alpharetta venues. Bringing Persian hospitality and elevated cuisine to the heart of Atlanta’s urban landscape, the Midtown restaurant embodies a fusion of tradition and modernity.

The 5,900-square-foot space is visually striking, designed with arched ceilings, textured stone
walls, and warm Persian blue and gold accents. Guests can also dine al fresco on the 1,500-
square-foot patio, complete with a chimney fireplace for cozy evenings.

Your culinary experience begins at the entrance, where you can watch taftoon flatbread cook in
large, circular ovens—an enticing preview of what’s to come. The hummus section alone is
worth a visit, offering a variety of toppings that transform this traditional dish into a perfect
starter or light meal.

The “Feast Section” of the menu showcases Persian classics alongside standout specials,
including a tender and flavorful Chilean Sea Bass. Vegetarian options and fragrant rice dishes
round out the menu, making it ideal for sharing and savoring.

With exceptional service and a vibrant atmosphere, Rumi’s Kitchen at Colony Square offers an
unforgettable dining experience—whether for a casual lunch, celebratory dinner, or date night.
