Kicking off summer 2017, Italian wine company Ecco Domani has just released their latest limited-edition Pinot Grigio designer label offering featuring renowned fashion designer Christian Siriano. Perfect for sipping on or even as a decorative table accent, Siriano’s bottle was inspired by 1960s Palm Springs and features bright colors and vivid textures. Last year, Ecco Domani featured designs by Zac Posen and this year, continued their support by passing the torch to Siriano.
“Christian Siriano’s design for Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio beautifully represents the brand’s commitment to supporting personal style,” said Julia Nader, Director of Marketing for Ecco Domani. “Christian has artfully taken his show-stopping aesthetic from the runway, and created a label design that brings that glamour directly into the hands of our fans and consumers.” The limited-edition designer label is available nationwide starting today, and retails for $10.99.
VUE recently had the chance to catch up with Siriano who gave us his best party tips and talked setting the perfect tablescape.
What’s your idea of the perfect summer dinner party?
Me and my husband [Brad Walsh] are big entertainers and we have a house upstate in Connecticut so we’re really into outdoor parties. I’m big into tablescapes and decorating because I don’t like to cook so I wanted to make sure the bottle was beautiful and could act almost as a centerpiece in case you didn’t have flowers.
What’re some tips for setting a beautiful table?
It always depends on what you’re doing and when you’re doing it. For me, it’s about having fun and playing around. I love mixing patterns, prints and textures with different plates and colorful glassware. That’s when I like to just go for it. There are rules but there aren’t at the same time, you know? Just have fun and it’ll become a conversation starter the more it stands out.
What would you recommend serving alongside the Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio?
I’m a big fan of a summer salads with either pasta or even greens mixed with fruit like strawberries or orange slices. I think the wine has a sort of fruity undertone to it so that’s nice to have with something light and fresh, nothing too creamy or heavy.
