With two locations this year- one in Buckhead Village District, open daily until December 24, and the other in Galleria on the Park in Cobb County, open Thursdays through Sundays until December 22- visitors can experience a magical European-style Christmas market. Both markets are free to enter but for a more exclusive experience, you can reserve a private tent with seats for up to 40 people in Buckhead Monday through Thursday for $650. It’s great for family gatherings, intimate celebrations with friends, or corporate holiday parties.
While at the market, you can enjoy traditional holiday treats like German Glühwein, a mulled wine made with red (and sometimes white) wine, spices, and sometimes fruit. Another must-try is the Hungarian Kürtőskalács, chimney cake in English, a sweet, sugar-coated yeast dough baked around a cylinder to create a hollow center- just like a chimney. Both are delicious, but since this market is in Georgia, you’ll also find barbeque and other less traditional food options- great for adventurous eaters and those who prefer more familiar flavors.
The markets also offer the chance to shop for something other than amazing food and drinks. They have handcrafted items and unique gift options for friends, family, and pets, such as ornaments, pet bandanas, herbal products, crochet flowers, leather bags, jewelry, and more. There’s something special for everyone on your holiday list. And if you’re visiting the Buckhead location, your family (and four-legged children) can take pictures with Santa on select days- adding extra magic for families and kids of all ages.
A perfect one-stop shop for all things holiday! If you’re lucky, you might even catch the market’s live entertainment performances from local choirs or bands, usually performing holiday favorites that make it feel unreal.
