Her star power, vocal strength, and ability to transform the stage makes her America’s next big star. Singing since she could speak, Auset Jones is a name to watch.

Auset began her professional acting career at the age of eight, starring in Ludacris’s commercial “KidNation.” Her mother, Tori Alamaze, received compliments about Auset’s performances but initially didn’t think much of it. However, her perspective changed when she realized that her daughter’s acting was more than just a fun hobby. But, it was a significant step toward a potential career. When asked about her dream roles, Auset mentioned, “Dorothy in The Wiz, Annie, Moana, Matilda.” Each character she named reflects her strong personality, as they are all powerful in their own sense of belonging.
Auset Starred in Tina Turner The Musical, playing young Anna Mae at just 10 years old. In this show, she toured 69 cities and 3 countries. She completed 175 shows. Her dedication to her role displayed her discipline and commitment.
When asked how she prepared for specific roles, she stated:
Auset: “ Usually, when it comes to liking a character, if it’s for something that I booked, I have to like them. But even if I have to get used to it, I’m fine with that. But I feel like what makes me like them is just thinking about their backstory.” “And just diving deeper into the lines helps me determine if I like them or not, and I usually tend to like them.”
After discussing this, we dived into her Broadway audition for Tina Turner: The Musical. The process for auditioning can be technical, but what set Auset apart for this role was her insider connections. Having auditioned for a Broadway show, such as The Lion King. Auset and her mother, Tori, discussed that the Tina Turner auditions were a full process. Dating all the way back to March 2025, Auset auditioned for The Lion King and made it to the final six. Although she didn’t proceed with The Lion King, her future had other plans.

Tori Alamaze: She did his hour Zoom with the casting. She went over the song and how she’s supposed to place the song and where it’s supposed to go. Then after that, she did a 2-hour Zoom with the music director.” “The music director, when she finished, said, ‘That shirt you’re wearing with stars all over it, that’s you.”
Auset: So basically 2 weeks after, I’m just doing rehearsals, and I’m a part of a group, so we have to do a little bit of extra. So I was just finishing practicing a song with my group. And we’re getting called to talk to my manager, like everyone else too, because I believe we all work with her. So, I was scared because I thought she was like, ” We forgot to do something or I was nervous. So I thought I was going to get in trouble. But she basically just tells me I got Tina
Receiving a traveling Broadway role as Tina Turner is a true accomplishment. The dancing, singing, and rehearsal schedules are rigorous, just like any Broadway show. But what separates Auset is that she is only 11 years old. Like any other child, she still had to follow her mother’s rules and work through rehearsal schedules. Auset’s tour with The Tina Turner Musical officially ended in early 2026.
Auset’s latest role is Raynell Maxson in Fences at Atlanta’s own Theatre, Theatrical Outfit. Fences by August Wilson, is a worldwide classic. It first premiered in 1987, starring James Earl Jones, Mary Alice, and Courtney B. Vance. Fences follows an African American family traveling through love, trauma, and pain.
“How do you stay grounded and happy after such a hard-hitting show?”
Auset: “One part is that I play with my squishies when I’m staying backstage and when I come back home because they’re very calming for me. And I feel like another part of it is that I usually call my best friends after I finish the show because they always make me happy. And I just feel like I, when it comes to the show, I kind of like myself; I just shake it all off after I finish the show. Like, I listen to my music in the car. I do my dances and all that, and I feel like the things that I love doing make me happy after doing a sad, emotional show.”

Auset’s last question was “ Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?”
Auset: I see myself getting a Tony or an EGOT? I like, I very much see myself doing that. I see myself as a very mature 21-year-old, I feel like I would have been in many shows, I have done a lot, and I feel like I’d be performing at the Tonys, like, maybe Don’t Rain on My Parade because I love that song, and I’m like, it’s great for me. And I, personally, just feel like I would be in a good place at 21, and I feel like I’d be very seasoned when it comes to theater and shows. I feel like at 21 I’d be in maybe a couple of movies. I’ve done many songs recorded in the studio. Nominated for awards. And yeah, I feel like I’d be in a very good place as a 21-year-old.”
Auset is nothing short of a shining star. Her talent, dedication, and likelihood will push her very far. That, and a grounded mother who helps guide her toward her dreams. Auset Jones is America’s future star, and who knows, she could be the world’s youngest EGOT winner.
