The Colony Palm Beach Turns Its Iconic Wallpaper Into Swimwear

Some hotels have signature scents. The Colony Palm Beach has a signature wallpaper.

Now, that wallpaper has made its way into fashion.

The iconic Palm Beach hotel has debuted a limited-edition swim and resortwear capsule created in partnership with Latin American fashion brand Agua by Agua Bendita and renowned hand-painted wallpaper house de Gournay. Launching with Moda Operandi as the exclusive online retail partner, the collection marks the first time The Colony’s bespoke de Gournay mural has been translated into women’s swim and resortwear.

From Wallpaper to Swimwear at The Colony Palm Beach

The inspiration comes from The Early Days in Palm Beach, the hand-painted de Gournay mural that greets guests in the hotel’s original lobby. Designed as a playful portrait of Palm Beach imagined as a living landscape, the mural blends fantasy with a strong sense of place, celebrating the region’s natural beauty through a vibrant palette of pinks and teals.

Translating such a detailed mural into fashion required careful craftsmanship. Agua by Agua Bendita adapted the artwork across a curated selection of the brand’s signature silhouettes, ensuring the scale, color palette, and storytelling of the original design remained intact.

The capsule includes the Limón and Gema one-piece swimsuits, the Kiwi bikini top paired with the Jengibre bottom, flowing pareos such as the Lavanda, Luna, and Emelina, and the Delirio mini dress. Two colorways drawn directly from the mural appear throughout the collection, while select pieces feature hand-finished embroidery that echoes the dimensional details of the original wallpaper.

The result feels distinctly Palm Beach. Equal parts art, fashion, and escapism, the collection brings one of The Colony’s most recognizable design elements beyond the hotel’s pink walls and into resort wardrobes ready for sunshine.
